Chasing the Dragon

China: Our view that the transport of uranium is a major bottleneck in the nuclear fuel supply chain has often been countered by the promise of alternative routes. ‘Chasing the Dragon’ provides evidence that the proposed route from Kazakhstan via Shanghai to the West has many obstacles, both bureaucratic and political, and concludes that a nascent route via China is, in our view, unfeasible.
