Analyst

After graduating from the University of Exeter with a degree in International Relations, Lorne developed an interest in the energy transition while working for the former UK Minister for Energy and Climate Change, including attending COP26 in Glasgow to meet with politicians like the President of Namibia to discuss decarbonisation pathways. This inspired him to return to university to study an MSc in The Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment at UCL, which he passed with Distinction.

During his studies, Lorne became interested in new energy. His dissertation examined the feasibility of nuclear energy in the developing world and was later picked up by the Climate Compatible Growth program, who commissioned him to develop it into a policy brief. This research ultimately led Lorne to join Ocean Wall.

Outside of work, Lorne is passionate about grassroots music and sports.
